Dear Parent or Guardian,
In accordance with NC Administrative Code 16 NCAC 06D.0311, the Testing
Code of Ethics, all eligible students are required to participate in state-mandated
end-of-year testing. Beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, STUDENTS WHO DO NOT
DEMONSTRATE PROFICIENCY ON THEIR end-of-year state tests may be eligible for a second
test administration(retest). This provides an additional opportunity for students to
demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
Please note that parents or legal guardian permission is required for students to
participate in a retest. If your student scores “Not Proficient” on an EOG
during the Spring 2026 testing and you would like your students to have the
opportunity to retest, please complete the permission form linked below.
